Job summary

Commerce Casino is seeking a Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the housekeeping team, inspect guest rooms and public areas, and ensure compliance with sanitation standards. You will assign tasks, manage supplies, and respond to guest requests to maintain high guest satisfaction.

The role requires strong English communication, a professional appearance, and teamwork. You will report to Hotel Operations and support safety procedures across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Always maintain a professional appearance and manner.

• Ability to grasp, lift, carry or otherwise move material weighing up to 100lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and move continuously to inspect rooms on all floors of the hotel.
• Ability to move throughout building, bend, stoop, and reach to assist other staff members, i.e., room attendants, housekeepers, and inspectors to complete their tasks if needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the housekeeping staff, providing open communication, training, coaching and counseling and providing performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Oversee and inspect the cleaning of guest rooms, turndown service, public areas and back of the house; ensure compliance with health/sanitation standards.
• Issue assignments to staff reviewing special requests and areas of concentration to ensure a smooth flow of the housekeeping operation.
• Issue supplies/goods to staff at the beginning of shift to control inventory and ensure proper supplies are available while controlling expenses.
• Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Log items into the Lost and Found and answer inquiries to maintain controls and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Implement emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel, guests, staff and company assets.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
