Job summary

Delta Hotels by Marriott Nashville Airport is seeking a Security Officer to monitor hotel property, protect guests and staff, and maintain a safe environment. You will patrol on foot, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with teams to uphold safety and hotel policies while delivering courteous service.

Responsibilities include reporting hazards, operating radios, assisting guests with issues, and ensuring life-safety systems are monitored.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Prior law enforcement or military experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of the layout of the building, function rooms, and surrounding areas.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers with diplomacy.
• Ability to listen, speak, read and write English clearly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure while remaining pleasant.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to operate a computer, printer, copier and telephone.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel on foot to observe and identify security risks or hazards.
• Use pager and two-way radio; respond to emergencies with calm, clear communication.
• Maintain order and assist guests with door issues; coordinate emergency responses.
• Answer security and safety calls promptly and document incidents accurately.
• Memorize life safety system locations and monitor alarms and sprinklers.
• Escort guests/employees to parking areas as needed and manage belongings safely.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies; maintain neat, groomed appearance.
