Job summary

Fairfield Inn & Suites in Rancho Cordova, CA is seeking a Property Leadership role to manage hotel operations and drive profitability in line with franchisee guidelines.

The position oversees budgeting, revenue management, staff development, guest satisfaction, and coordination with sales and marketing to maximize occupancy and average rate. Relocation assistance available; full-time management role with a pay range of $95,000 to $120,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Develop, administer, and control the hotel revenue and expense budgets
• Analyze profit & loss and general ledger statements; submit P&L variance reports
• Review and approve the hotel payroll
• Review and approve transmittals and other front office paperwork and reports
• Authorize direct bill accounts and monitor accounts receivable
• Handle top and target accounts; participate in joint sales calls
• Provide direction, input, and approve the hotel marketing plan
• Review top and target accounts and weekly call reports with sales staff
• Review room inventory management to maximize room revenue
• Monitor negotiated rates
• Ensure proper selection, training, counseling, and motivation of hourly employees; hire and develop management
• Ensure administration of benefits programs to all employees
• Review performance appraisals for hourly and management staff
• Ensure disciplinary procedures are followed to correct performance
• Maintain guest attentiveness and guest needs; respond to special requests
• Use the LEARN model for guest recovery and emphasize guest satisfaction
• Meet with guests to determine satisfaction with services and facilities
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores and take corrective actions as needed
• Respond to guest complaints and ensure resolution
• Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness and suite care
• Develop and maintain hotel programs to meet QA criteria
• Complete QA status reports and capital improvement forms
• Maintain emergency and safety procedures; ensure key controls and cash procedures
• Maintain community presence and build rapport with competitors and partners
• Participate in community events and brand meetings
• Conduct staff and sales meetings and respond to ownership requests
• Evaluate Employee Engagement Survey results and take action
• Perform other tasks as requested by the Manager
