Job summary

Tharaldson Hospitality seeks an experienced hotel management professional for the Homewood Suites by Hilton Rancho Cordova location in Rancho Cordova, CA. The ideal candidate will oversee staff, training, and daily operations to meet service standards and brand guidelines.

Responsibilities include staffing, wage planning, and guest issue resolution, with coverage for the General Manager in their absence. Strong scheduling, inventory, and purchasing skills are required.

Qualifications

• Preferably 1+ year of similar experience in Select Service or Extended Stay properties.
• Brand experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable in inventories, scheduling, and ordering.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Education preferred of Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assigns duties to staff and observes performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and operating procedures.
• Provides training including brand specific and safety training to all team members.
• Selects or assists in selection of hotel staff and completes new hire paperwork.
• Reviews employee performance and conducts disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Maintains accurate records including cash flow sheets, direct bill accounts, and receipts.
• Conducts staff meetings and adheres to franchise and company procedures and regulations.
• Receives and resolves guest complaints and employee issues.
• Performs functions of the General Manager in their absence.
• Covers shifts in all departments as scheduled by the General Manager.
