Job summary

Homewood Suites by Hilton Rancho Cordova, part of the Hilton family, seeks an experienced hospitality leader for a full-time management position in Rancho Cordova, CA. You will oversee staff performance, training, and day-to-day hotel operations to maintain service excellence.

The role requires 1+ year in Select Service or Extended Stay, brand experience preferred, and knowledge of inventories, scheduling, and ordering.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of similar experience in Select Service or Extended Stay properties.
• Brand experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable in Inventories, Scheduling, and Ordering.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assign duties to staff and observe performance per hotel policies.
• Provide training including brand-specific and safety training.
• Select or assist in staff hiring and complete new hire paperwork.
• Review performance and conduct disciplinary actions when needed.
• Maintain records including cash flow, charges, registrations, and reservations.
• Lead staff meetings and ensure SOPs are followed.
• Resolve guest complaints and employee issues; act in GM's absence.
• Cover shifts across departments as scheduled; assist sales and reservations.
• Communicate with group/travel agents on rooms and rates; support marketing.

Job Functions:

• Assigns duties to staff and observes performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures.
• Provides training which includes brand specific training and safety training to all team members.
• Selects or assists in the selection of hotel staff and completes all new hire paperwork.
• Reviews employee performance and conducts personnel actions such as disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Maintains accurate records including cash flow sheet, direct bill accounts, credit card receipts, registration cards, reservations cards, direct bills, and credit cards.
• Conducts or assists in conducting staff meetings.
• Adheres to all franchise and company procedures and regulations as well as standard operating procedures.
• Receives and resolves or assists in resolving guest complaints and employee issues.
• Performs functions of the General Manager in their absence.
• Covers shifts in all departments as scheduled by the General Manager.
• Corresponds with group and travel agents to answer special requests for rooms and rates.
• Assists with sales and marketing efforts as directed.
• Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services.
• Assists General Manager in annual wage scale surveys; ensures employee wages follow wage and salary guidelines.
• All other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For:

• Preferably 1+ year of similar experience in Select Service or Extended Stay properties
• Brand Experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable in Inventories, Scheduling, and Ordering.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Education Preferred of Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college, or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
