Job summary

Buffalo Lodging Associates is seeking a General Manager for Hampton Inn & Suites Buffalo – Downtown. You will lead hotel operations, drive revenue, and oversee guest satisfaction while upholding our culture of Excellence, Passion, Integrity, and Inclusivity.

The role requires branded-hotel GM experience, hands-on leadership, and proficiency in rooms and F&B management, safety and maintenance, budget forecasting, and sales support to maximize performance.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of experience as a General Manager of a branded hotel.
• Extensive experience with rooms and F&B.
• Knowledge of hotel operations including marketing plans, safety programs, budgeting.
• Bachelor's degree in hotel management, business, or related field; or equivalent.
• Expertise in standard hotel management systems.
• Hands-on leadership – direct work with associates.

Responsibilities

• Development and execution of operational plans for the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are achieved, forecasting financial plans and preparing the annual hotel budget
• Leading all associates to achieve service and satisfaction targets through positive guest experiences
• Ensuring proper preventive maintenance of the property, IT systems, guest rooms, and public spaces following established processes
• Managing loss prevention and risk management policies, safety standards and claims reporting
• Engaging with associates to improve hotel culture and embrace core values
• Direct reports management including employment decisions and performance management
• Participating as a leader in the community and maintaining a positive image for the property and company
• Daily involvement in Sales and Revenue Management; supporting sales and revenue through guest service
• Any other work required to complete the primary role
