Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Downtown El Paso is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead our hotel team and drive operational excellence. This role requires a proven track record in hotel leadership, strong financial acumen, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

You will manage day-to-day operations, develop talent, ensure revenue growth, and uphold Marriott standards while fostering a positive, people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or related business field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Rooms and/or Food & Beverage functions.
• Strong business communication skills verbal and written.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to lead team at leadership and hourly level.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
• High work ethic and self-initiative.

Responsibilities

• Practice a culture of guest service; promote courtesy and positive attitude.
• Anticipate guest needs and maintain positive guest relations.
• Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate special programs and incentives to improve guest service.
• Lead the Executive Committee to reach property goals.
• Develop and assure achievement of hotel revenues and profits using forecasting and RevPAR.
• Ensure the property complies with departments and grows business year over year.
• Coach and develop leaders to exceed performance expectations.
