Job summary

Soartress Hospitality is seeking a General Manager to oversee the DoubleTree by Hilton in Appleton, Wisconsin. This hands-on leader will build strong teams, drive excellent guest experiences, and own the hotel’s financial and operational performance.

The role requires GM experience in a full-service hotel, strong budget and labor skills, team development capability, clear communication, and familiarity with Hilton systems and standards.

Qualifications

• General Manager experience at a full-service hotel, or substantial leadership with readiness for a GM role.
• Strong financial skills, including budgets, labor, and operating results.
• Track record of building teams and improving guest satisfaction.
• Clear communication and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Hilton systems and brand standards is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily hotel operations and set expectations for service and accountability.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain department leaders and staff.
• Monitor guest feedback and resolve concerns to improve the guest experience.
• Own the hotel budget, labor planning, revenue, and expense controls.
• Partner with sales and revenue management to grow business and profitability.
• Maintain brand standards and ensure a clean, safe, well-maintained property.
• Build relationships with ownership, corporate teams, and local community.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and employment, safety, and hospitality requirements.
