Job summary

Soartress Hospitality is seeking a General Manager to oversee the DoubleTree by Hilton in Appleton, Wisconsin. This hands-on leader will build strong teams, drive excellent guest experiences, and own the hotel’s financial and operational performance.

The role requires GM experience in a full-service hotel, strong budget and labor skills, team development capability, clear communication, and familiarity with Hilton systems and standards.

Qualifications

• General Manager experience at a full-service hotel, or substantial leadership with readiness for a GM role.
• Strong financial skills, including budgets, labor, and operating results.
• Track record of building teams and improving guest satisfaction.
• Clear communication and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Hilton systems and brand standards is strongly preferred.

What You’ll Do

• Lead daily hotel operations and set clear expectations for service, quality, and accountability.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain department leaders and associates.
• Monitor guest feedback, resolve concerns, and identify ways to improve the guest experience.
• Own the hotel’s budget, labor planning, revenue performance, and expense controls.
• Partner with sales and revenue management teams to grow business and maximize profitability.
• Maintain brand standards and ensure the property is clean, safe, and well maintained.
• Build productive relationships with ownership, corporate support teams, and the local community.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment, safety, and hospitality requirements.

What You Bring

• General Manager experience at a full-service hotel, or substantial full-service hotel leadership experience with demonstrated readiness for a General Manager role.
• Strong financial skills, including experience managing budgets, labor, and operating results.
• A track record of developing teams and improving guest satisfaction.
• Clear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to follow through in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with Hilton systems and brand standards is strongly preferred.
