Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a server at Hotel Per La in downtown Los Angeles to provide guests exceptional service and ensure compliance with policies while meeting financial goals.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, handling POS, delivering orders, and maintaining cleanliness. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and work a regular schedule in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Willing to pitch in and help teammates.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials or promotions.
• Record details of the order, repeat to guest for accuracy.
• Input order into POS to inform kitchen of particulars.
• Retrieve orders up to 30 lbs, confirm accuracy, and deliver with condiments.
• Abide by state, federal and corporate rules for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Offer desserts or specialty coffees on request.
• Operate POS to pre-check orders and close checks.
• Present the check to guests promptly.
• Maintain regular attendance and be available to work as scheduled.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
