Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts in Atlanta seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician for the Kimpton Sylvan Hotel to sustain building systems and guest safety. You will uphold Engineering SOPs and energy-efficiency goals while supporting a high-quality guest experience.

The role covers preventative maintenance, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, pool care, and exterior upkeep, with emphasis on reliable, courteous service and the ability to lift 25–50 lbs. Hotel maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades.
• Hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Climbing, reading, standing, walking, and routinely lifting 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders to maintain hotel quality.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on electrical, HVAC, plumbing and related systems.
• Service hotel pool, adjust chemicals, and maintain logs.
• Maintain exterior and interior spaces to ensure curb appeal and guest satisfaction.
• Move and refurbish furniture and fixtures as needed.
• Respond courteously to guest questions and requests and ensure safety compliance.
