Job summary

Highgate Hotels is looking for an Engineer Level 1 to ensure the Homewood Suites Rochester property is kept in prime condition. The role involves maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.

You will read blueprints, document readings, and adhere to codes while ensuring high standards of guest service and safety. This on-site position requires flexibility for long hours and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school and/or College course work in related field helpful.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning systems and related components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical systems and more.
• Take readings on equipment and document results.
• Test cooling towers and record readings.
• Repair and program hotel electronics and lighting fixtures.
• Read blueprints and wiring diagrams to guide maintenance tasks.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
