Job summary

Highgate is seeking a maintenance technician to assist with operation, maintenance, and repair of hotel equipment across guest rooms, kitchens, laundry, and public areas. The role includes preventive maintenance, energy conservation, and timely response to alarms, with duties assigned by the supervisor.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. Prior hospitality maintenance experience is preferred, and trade licenses in plumbing, electrical, HVAC,

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade license in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Change out light bulbs and perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms and facilities.
• Maintain ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, and public areas.
• Perform plumbing and exhaust system repairs; monitor energy use and safety.
• promptly address alarms and report findings to the Front Desk.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.
