Job summary

Highgate Hotels seeks a dedicated maintenance technician at Residence Inn Ontario, CA to support daily operations and ensure guest comfort through proactive maintenance of rooms, equipment, and facilities.

Responsibilities include light repairs, preventative upkeep on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and coordination with front desk for emergency responses, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
• Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR) as required by the property.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Change out light bulbs and perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms (paint, minor repairs, caulking, tile repairs).
• Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, pool and spa areas.
• Perform plumbing repairs, laundry equipment repair, and preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply; monitor energy use.
• Respond to alarms, determine emergency status and report findings to the Front Desk.
• Follow supervisor directions and perform additional tasks as assigned.
