Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management in San Jose, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and repair work on the hotel's mechanical and electrical systems, maintain FF&E and grounds, and ensure a safe, well-kept facility.

This full-time role includes troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, lighting and other equipment, following safety procedures, logging maintenance activities, and assisting other engineering staff to keep the property running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all maintenance trades including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
• Willing to follow safety, security and grooming standards.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunction in mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) and other equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance on a schedule basis (e.g., room care).
• Maintains pool equipment, chemicals and logs, and exterior areas.
• Adheres to all hotel policies, safety and security procedures.
• Reports unsafe conditions and accidents to supervisor.
• Assists other engineering personnel as needed.
