The Huntington San Francisco, managed by Highgate Hotels, is seeking an F&B Steward to maintain cleanliness and assist kitchen staff at the Nob Hill property. The role supports the kitchen and F&B areas, ensuring sanitary conditions and proper storage of china, glass, and silver.

Responsibilities include heavy cleaning of equipment, operating dishwashing machinery, and assisting with buffet setups. Candidates should be able to lift heavy loads and work flexible hours in a full-time, hourly

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel or related field experience preferred.
• Flexible and long hours may be required.
• Heavy work – able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally; stand for long shifts.
• Ability to withstand hot/cold temperatures and maintain a friendly demeanor.
• Must communicate effectively with staff and guests.

Responsabilités

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in kitchens, back dock, and utility areas.
• Perform heavy-duty cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, walls, floors, and walk-ins.
• Wash pots, pans, and utensils; vacuum carpeted areas near F&B outlets.
• Sweep, mop, and wash floors in all F&B areas and docks.
• Notify management of shortages of equipment and supplies.
• Operate dishwashing equipment to ensure sanitation of china, glass, and silver.
• Return clean items to storage with care to minimize breakage.
• Handle chemicals safely and report faulty equipment promptly.
• Empty garbage from F&B areas to hotel dumpster.
• Know location and operation of fire extinguishing equipment.
• Follow safe work habits to prevent injuries.
• Assist with setup/breakdown of restaurant buffet and banquet service.
