Job summary

The Huntington, located in San Francisco and part of Highgate Hotels, seeks a Cook to prepare all food items for Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets, following standardized recipes and hotel standards.

Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen; minimize waste and maximize cost/production ratio. Demonstrate proficiency in multiple cooking techniques and adapt to kitchen needs while supporting any position when required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel/related experience preferred.
• Culinary experience required.
• Flexible and long hours; ability to stand for long shifts.
• Medium work - up to 50 pounds; tolerate temperature variations.
• Knowledge of hotel standards and varied cooking techniques.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
• Prepare and plate buffet and menu items according to standards.
• Prepare food for Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets.
• Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Support other kitchen stations as needed and manage waste efficiently.
