Job summary

Shamin Hotels in Richmond, VA seeks an Executive Chef to lead the hotel's culinary operations across outlets, banquets, and room service. You will design menus reflecting brand standards, ensure food quality, and manage kitchen costs and schedules.

You will recruit, train, and develop a high-performing culinary team, uphold health and safety standards, and collaborate with Sales and Events to deliver memorable dining experiences for guests and events.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Five or more years of progressive culinary leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations across restaurants, banquets, catering, and room service.
• Develop and design menus reflecting brand standards and seasonal offerings.
• Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Supervise and develop kitchen team members to maintain high performance.
• Manage food and labor costs to meet budget and profitability goals.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure safe storage of food and supplies.
