• Coordinate and maintain effective verbal and written communication with customers, internal and external, throughout the event process and follow up after events to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
• Serve as a liaison between field salespersons and customers during pre-event, event, and post-event stages.
• Oversee the entire customer experience from file turnover to post-event handover back to the sales team.
• Lead pre-event and post-event meetings for assigned groups and convention services; facilitate Banquet Event Order meetings and block reviews.
• Manage group room blocks and meeting space allocations for assigned groups; use Marriott Global Source, Training Energizers, and eTools to streamline processes.
• Adhere to all standards, policies, and procedures governing event management and ensure compliance throughout the planning process.
• Stay informed on trends in event management and design to enhance guest experiences.
• Interact with guests to gather feedback on quality and service levels; address and resolve guest issues promptly.
• Conduct pre- and post-event meetings with convention services to review group needs and feedback.
• Seek feedback from hotel departments to identify improvement areas and enhance the guest experience for Event Planners.
• Skillfully upsell products and services to customers throughout the event process to maximize revenue.
• Participate in customer site inspections and support the sales process to showcase the hotel's offerings to potential clients.
• Efficiently manage customer budgets to optimize revenue while meeting needs of each customer.
• Forecast group sleeping rooms and event revenue for convention services for proper planning and resource allocation.
