Job summary

Renaissance Seattle seeks an enthusiastic, highly organized event manager to support the planning, coordination and execution of group assignments for the Sales Department. The role reports to the Director of Catering and the Director of Sales and Marketing and focuses on maximizing hotel revenue and delivering exceptional meeting experiences.

You will maintain client relations, manage room blocks, review contracts, and collaborate with Food & Beverage to execute catering events with upsell

Qualifications

• Extremely detail oriented and demonstrates the ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
• Effective verbal/written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM or hospitality sales platform experience (Delphi, Opera, Salesforce, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong client relations and upsell opportunities and ensure that meeting specifications are communicated and executed for a successful meeting experience for the meeting planner and attendees.
• Monitor and manage room blocks and meeting space according to contract utilizing group history reports and information given by clients to maximize hotel revenue, making adjustments as necessary.
• Review all bills that are sent to the client and accounting, ensuring they are accurate and timely in order to maximize return business.
• Produce and distribute event orders, group resumes, planning site alerts and communicate any changes and updated information to hotel departments.
• Work extensively with the Food and Beverage and Culinary team on executing catering events and banquets with upsell opportunities.
• Accurately forecast group rooms and group food and beverage revenues for assigned groups and affiliate business with minimal variance.
