Job summary

Renaissance Framingham Hotel & Conference Center is seeking an experienced Event Manager to partner with hotel operations and clients to flawlessly execute meetings and events. You will be the primary client contact and oversee the event from start to finish, ensuring high quality service and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years in sales, catering, and hotel settings, with strong leadership, presentation, and writing skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales and catering experience with emphasis on social events.
• Proven track record in social and corporate catering.
• Previous hotel experience preferred.
• Strong leadership of people.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Excellent writing skills (grammar/punctuation/spelling).
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Delphi systems).

Responsibilities

• Work directly with hotel operations teams and clients to ensure flawless meetings and events.
• Manage event bookings: assess client needs, review F&B, décor, AV, vendor options, contracts, terms.
• Serve as main client contact and oversee events through execution.
• Supervise banquet events and monitor service quality.
• Cultivate client relationships to generate business.
• Coordinate with sales, revenue management, and general managers to maximize profitability.
