Job summary

Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, part of Noble House Hotels & Resorts, seeks an Engineering Supervisor to support the Director of Engineering in planning, organizing, and directing the engineering team to uphold high standards of maintenance and service.

You will supervise staff, interview and train team members, set work plans and deadlines, and ensure quality across the department to exceed guest expectations and property standards.

Qualifications

• Five years related progressively responsible hotel or building maintenance/facilities management experience with one year of lead experience in a similar setting.
• Excellent customer service/communication skills to work with guests and provide a high level of guest satisfaction.
• Ability to lead others in the department by mentoring and providing training that results in staff that meets/exceeds expectations and provides a high level of quality maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to sit/stand for long periods and work AM, PM, weekends and holidays as required by operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Engineering with planning, organization, development and directing of the engineering team.
• Supervise Engineering personnel to ensure quality standards and department goals are met.
• Interviewing and training team members; recommend applicants for selection and moves.
• Plan, assign and direct work; determine work quality expectations and deadlines.
