Sun Hill Properties Inc. is seeking a Director of Engineering to oversee the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems for a large-scale hotel.

The role demands hands-on leadership, strategic thinking, and a focus on preventive maintenance and sustainability to support guest satisfaction and asset protection. You will manage budgets, capital planning, and 24/7 operations while driving energy efficiency and regulatory compliance across campus-wide

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field preferred; hands-on experience considered.
• 7–10 years of progressive engineering experience with 3–5 years in senior leadership in hospitality, commercial real estate, or similar environment.
• Experience managing full-service hotel or multi-property engineering operations and budgets.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance including building codes, OSHA, EPA, and fire/life safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety.
• Oversee major equipment like boilers, chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, and BMS.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Manage engineering budgets and capital planning; ensure cost control and ROI.
• Drive energy management, sustainability initiatives, and long-term asset protection.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
