Job summary

Dimension Hospitality Group is seeking a hands-on Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance department and oversee all building systems, equipment, and property upkeep. You will ensure safety, preventive maintenance, and repair standards while supervising a team of maintenance professionals.

You will manage daily repairs, coordinate with hotel leadership, and drive guest satisfaction through reliable operations and a well-maintained environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an engineering or maintenance team
• Deep knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems
• Strong safety mindset and reliability
• Ability to train, motivate, and manage a maintenance team
• Skilled at troubleshooting and problem solving
• Hands-on leader able to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the maintenance and engineering team
• Oversee daily repairs, work orders, and preventive maintenance schedules
• Ensure proper operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems
• Conduct regular property inspections and identify maintenance needs
• Manage department budgeting, inventory, and vendor relationships
• Ensure compliance with safety, fire, and regulatory standards
• Support maintenance team with troubleshooting and project work
• Respond quickly to urgent issues and guest impact situations
• Coordinate effectively with hotel leadership and all departments
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized engineering shop and work areas
