Job summary

Lodging Dynamics seeks a Chief Engineer to oversee and coordinate maintenance staff across hotels in the Livingston area. You will ensure repair, maintenance and the preventative maintenance program are completed on schedule and assist or monitor capital repair and renovation projects.

Responsibilities include supervising engineering teams, managing safety inspections, training staff, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations, or engineering services for a hotel.
• Five (5) years of supervisory experience in a related field are required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and teams in a hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and coordinates the department's activities, focusing on supervisory and organizational goals.
• Determines policies, procedures and manuals for direct reports and assigns work.
• Recruits, trains, and evaluates staff; conducts performance reviews and corrective actions.
• Ensures safety regulations compliance and budget oversight.
