Job summary

Raines Co. is seeking a seasoned Chief Engineer to lead hotel maintenance across all facilities. You will oversee preventive and emergency repairs, supervise engineering staff, and coordinate with departments to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities include managing energy efficiency, maintaining life-safety systems, training staff, scheduling, and enforcing brand standards. A strong background in facilities maintenance and hands-on leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Prior Chief Engineer and Supervisor experience.
• Experience leading teams in all areas of maintenance.
• Experience with brand standards.
• Proficiency with basic hand-tools and power equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 or similar computer applications.
• Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Current certifications as required by Federal, State or Local governing agents pertaining to trade requirements (HVAC, Pool Operation, etc)

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise the hourly Engineering staff and coordinate all scheduling.
• Review Engineering staff's worked hours for payroll compilation and submit to accounting on a timely basis.
• Focus the Engineering Department on their role in contributing to the guest satisfaction.
• Motivate coach counsel and discipline all Engineering personnel according to company standards.
• Prepare and conduct all Engineering interviews and follow hiring procedures.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and provide training on a rotational basis.
• Coordinate life-safety inspections and maintain safety standards.
• Manage energy expenses and work towards energy conservation.
• Ensure Preventative Maintenance program is implemented and administered.
• Respond to guestroom maintenance requests in a timely manner.
