Job summary

Riggs Washington DC is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead the hotel's engineering team. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, trainee development, and rapid response to service requests to ensure seamless guest experiences.

The position requires hands-on building trade experience, 5+ years in engineering or 7 years combined experience, and strong communication skills. Flexible scheduling is needed to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• HVAC systems knowledge required.
• Electrical systems knowledge required.
• Plumbing knowledge with the ability to install 120V/208V circuits.
• Experience leading a team of engineers preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and address service/maintenance requests.
• Coach and develop team members.
• Communicate effectively to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on hotel appliances and machines.
• Inspect equipment and collaborate with departments for guest satisfaction.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by Chief Engineer.
