Job summary

Arlo Hotels in Washington DC seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team, oversee maintenance of the hotel’s HVAC, electrical and building systems, and ensure safety and operational excellence across the property.

You will collaborate with the Director of Engineering and hotel leadership to deliver reliable, guest-focused facilities while championing preventive maintenance and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Vocational training in Electrical, HVAC or Building Systems preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years previous building maintenance leadership experience required.
• Prior hotel/resort maintenance experience in a full-service luxury or boutique environment preferred.
• Must communicate professionally in English; other languages helpful.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Engineering Department and Life Safety across the building.
• Create preventive maintenance programs to ensure consistency of the product.
• Lead and develop Engineering team members and coordinate with operations.
• Partner with construction teams during turnover and FF&E installation.
• Manage building systems maintenance and repairs to ensure fully operational amenities.
