Job summary

Ocean Place Resort & Spa in Long Branch, NJ is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to ensure proper functioning of hotel systems while leading the engineering team. This role blends technical expertise with leadership to maintain operations and guest service.

Responsibilities include responding to guest repair requests, daily property inspections, and maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Requires 2+ years in building maintenance; HVAC/PCA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary certificate in a relevant trade (e.g., Construction, Mechanics, Precision Production).
• HVAC and PCA Certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of building maintenance experience.
• Hotel experience is a plus.
• Must meet applicable state and federal certification/licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues.
• Conduct daily inspections of the property to identify safety hazards and repairs.
• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot MEP systems, boilers, pumps, and related components.
• Train and mentor engineers to ensure team development and operational excellence.
• Operate and maintain building automation systems and PM programs.
• Perform Engineer on Duty duties, including readings and rounds.
