The Elizabeth Hotel and Emporium in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead building maintenance, energy programs and safety initiatives for a vibrant Sage Hospitality Group property.

You will supervise the engineering team, manage budgets, coordinate renovations, emergency programs, and ensure code compliance while delivering guest experiences that embody the hotel’s Colorado spirit.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced knowledge of building management/engineering.
• Must have experience in hotel engineering operations and coordinating maintenance programs.
• Ability to manage budgets and oversee contractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the engineering/HVAC/maintenance teams to attract, retain and motivate staff; conduct performance reviews.
• Develop and manage the department's budget and capital expenditures.
• Develop and direct maintenance programs and negotiate contracts to ensure safety and asset protection.
• Direct Emergency Programs; train employees and maintain records for a safe environment.
• Lead energy conservation initiatives to reduce costs.
• Coordinate renovation bidding and oversee contractors to ensure quality work at minimal cost.
