Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking an Engineering Supervisor for Kimpton Hotel Monaco Denver to oversee daily Engineering operations and staff. The role involves administrative, financial and operational duties in the absence of leadership, with emphasis on safety, maintenance and guest service.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 3+ years in a hotel setting, and proven supervisory abilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or experience in hotel-related field.
• At least three years progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school and/or college coursework in related field preferred.
• Previous supervisory skills required.
• Must be able to lift and move objects, sometimes very heavy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds and other assets in a safe, well-repaired state.
• Ensure hotel compliance with local, state and federal laws.
• Inspect, test and certify emergency and life safety equipment as per standards.
• Supervise Engineers and ensure proper training in customer service and SOPs.
• Participate in energy conservation programs per Highgate standards.
• Review guest and meeting planner feedback and address issues promptly.
• Ensure ADA compliance.
• Assist with vendor contracts controlled by Engineering and hotel standards.
• Support wage/salary planning and energy budgets.
• Assist in financial forecasting and monthly P&L reviews.
• Assist with special projects and renovations.
• Repair and program hotel electronic lock systems.
• Schedule preventive maintenance tasks.
