Job summary

Highgate is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department at a Highgate hotel in Denver. The role requires supervising engineers, ensuring safety, compliance, and reliable facility operations to support guest experiences.

Responsibilities include planning preventive maintenance, budgeting, energy conservation, and coordinating with vendors. The position is on-site with a competitive hourly compensation and benefits package for full-time

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field.
• At least three years progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school and/or College course work in related field preferred.
• Previous supervisory skills required.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Heavy work – lifting heavy objects to move, push or pull items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds and other assets.
• Ensure that the hotel is in compliance with all local, state and federal laws.
• Supervise the Engineers and ensure they are properly trained in the customer service program, SOPs and loss prevention standards.
• Actively participate in energy conservation programs per Highgate Hotel’s standards.
• Review all Guest and Meeting Planner comment cards to ensure problems are identified and corrected in a timely manner.
• Assist with budgeting, wage/salary and energy budgets per Highgate Hotel’s financial standards.
• Assist in scheduling preventive maintenance tasks.
