Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines in San Diego is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to lead the hotel's engineering team and oversee safety and functionality of our property, delivering reliable operations and guest comfort.

This hands-on leadership role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen and laundry systems, with daily team huddles, coaching, and cross-department collaboration to keep the property running smoothly.

Competenze

• Strong background in hotel or property maintenance required.
• Experience with HOTSOS and Smart Spend preferred.
• Hands-on leadership in a hotel engineering environment.

Mansioni

• Partner in leading facility operations: Direct safety and compliance of buildings, mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, life safety, and grounds in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Oversee facility maintenance: Inspections, supervise construction, installation, maintenance, and repairs of electrical, mechanical, and architectural systems
• Support property improvement projects: Direct capital projects and property rehabilitations – including scheduling, budgeting, contractor bidding, and licensing/permitting – while ensuring regulatory compliance
• Oversee work order fulfillment: Ensure routine maintenance and repairs are assigned, verified, and documented in the property maintenance management system
• Ensure regulatory compliance: Communicate with government officials to maintain permits, coordinate inspections, and uphold safety and code standards
• Cultivate a high-performing team: Drive engagement and retention through performance management, professional development, and recognition programs
