Job summary

Magnolia Hotel STL seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering department, manage MEP systems, and implement preventive maintenance across guest rooms and public areas.

The role requires strong leadership, safety focus, and the ability to manage capital improvement projects and outside contractors, while maintaining compliance with Terranea Resort standards in the original context.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree or Technical Degree equivalent.
• Minimum five years' experience in facilities management of hospitality properties.
• Certified in (at least 3) hotel engineering/maintenance positions.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems and life-safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily line-ups and ensure service values are energized by staff.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs for guest rooms and public areas.
• Oversee maintenance of all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety.
• Develop, implement, and direct emergency programs and safety measures.
• Supervise, mentor and evaluate Engineering staff and manage work orders and payroll.
