Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Director of Engineering to join our team. This role focuses on proactive maintenance, safety, and maintaining brand standards across hotel properties.

You will lead maintenance staff, manage work orders, and coordinate capital projects while ensuring exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a maintenance leadership role within hotels, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to safety

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Strong leadership skills are essential.
• Detail oriented with high standards for guest satisfaction.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel; Outlook a plus).
• Experience in hotel maintenance leadership is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proactive preventative maintenance programs meet standards.
• Maintain hotel maintenance and upkeep to Graduate Brand and Guest standards.
• Follow safety practices and conditions.
• Inspect guest rooms after maintenance and manage supplies inventory.
• Prioritize and complete work orders; monitor deficiencies.
• Oversee pool and spa maintenance per brand standards and health regulations.
• Maintain grounds and building exteriors; support guest requests and concerns.
• Coordinate and supervise contracted capital projects; manage emergency procedures.
