Job summary

Hampton Inn Virginia Beach Town Center is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to keep guest rooms, public spaces, and building systems safe and functional. You will perform repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, respond to guest requests, and follow preventive maintenance schedules.

This on-site role requires a High School diploma or GED, at least 1 year in hotel or facilities maintenance, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of hotel, commercial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a guest-first mindset.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building systems.
• Responds to guest and staff maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conducts routine preventive maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, and equipment on schedule.
• Maintains accurate logs of repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance completed.
• Supports life-safety systems and ensures compliance with OSHA, brand, and company safety standards.

Variable hours, must include weekends and holidays; may include an on-call rotation.Work Environment: Modern hotel in the heart of Virginia Beach's Town Center business and entertainment districtSummaryThe Maintenance Engineer keeps the property safe, comfortable, and fully functional by performing repairs and preventive maintenance across guest rooms, public spaces, and building systems.
