Job summary

MGM Resorts in Las Vegas seeks a Hotel Dispatcher to coordinate daily Bell Desk operations and connect guests with needed services, ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure.

Ideal candidates bring 6 months of guest services and multi-line phone experience, with preference for Front Services/dispatcher roles and hotel/resort experience in AAA 5 Diamond or Forbes settings. Flexible shifts including weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Six months of guest services experience, preferably in a resort setting.
• Six months of experience handling multiple phone lines.
• Front Services and/or dispatcher experience preferred.
• Experience in a AAA 5 Diamond, Mobil 5 Star, or Forbes hotel/resort setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide refined luxury service to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Answer Bell Desk phones and assist guests with requests and inquiries.
• Own guest requests and complaints and resolve issues promptly with follow-up.
• Dispatch Bell Attendants for luggage handling during check-in/check-out and other requests.
• Record guest service requests, timestamp service cards, and rotate for next Bell Attendant.

THE JOB :

Be the heartbeat behind exceptional guest service! As a Hotel Dispatcher, you'll coordinate daily operations, connect guests with the services they need, and keep our Bell Desk team moving seamlessly. Your attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to service will help create memorable experiences from arrival to departure.

THE STARTING RATE: $22.2793 / Per Hour + Service Commissions

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Provide refined luxury service to ensure guest satisfaction
• Answer Bell Desk phones and assist guests with requests and inquiries
• Own guest requests and complaints by resolving issues promptly and following up to ensure satisfaction
• Dispatch Bell Attendants efficiently for guest luggage handling during check-in, check-out, and other service requests
• Record guest service requests, time stamp service cards, and place them in rotation for the next available Bell Attendant
• Maintain positive guest relations by providing accurate information about hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and transfer calls to the appropriate departments as needed
• Coordinate convention group arrivals and departures by completing paperwork, scheduling bag pull times, and communicating tour leaders regarding bus schedules and room changes
• Organize incoming and outgoing guest laundry by verifying guest names, room numbers, item counts, and room changes

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Six (6) months of prior relevant guest services experience, preferably in a similar resort setting
• Six (6) months of prior relevant experience handling multiple phone lines
• Front Services and/or dispatcher experience preferred
• Experience in a AAA 5 Diamond, Mobil 5 Star, or Forbes hotel/resort setting
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
