Days Inn Inner Harbor is seeking an experienced Hotel Director of Sales to oversee sales and marketing operations. The ideal candidate will be a thoughtful leader and confident decision-maker, committed to developing staff and providing excellent client service. This role involves building relationships, achieving sales goals, and representing the hotel in the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all clients are treated like family.
  • Achieve sales and revenue targets.
  • Conduct solicitation calls, sales tours, and entertain clients, focusing on Leisure SMERF Business Travel and Groups.
  • Develop and grow relationships with key accounts.
  • Monitor market trends within your segment.
  • Maintain a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented approach with guests and staff.
  • Follow company regulations, standards, and sales metrics.
  • Learn hotel operations and policies.
  • Maintain visibility in the local community and industry groups.
  • Participate in promotional activities like sales blitzes.
  • Attend meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to meet sales goals related to hotel performance.
  • Effective at soliciting and securing new accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with the Corporate Director of Sales.
  • Manage multiple tasks independently with strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in professional selling techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for negotiation and influence.
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous hotel sales experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements:

Standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, kneeling, or crouching.
