Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of serving experience in hotel restaurant, high-volume dining, or customer service environment.
• Solid understanding of POS systems, basic math for processing bills, and accurate cash handling.
• General knowledge of food safety principles, tray-carrying techniques, and table layout standards.
• Basic understanding of beer, wine, and cocktail options to guide guest selections.
• TIPS and ServSafe certification preferred; must meet state minimum age requirements for serving food and alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and guide them through food and beverage options with tailored recommendations.
• Take orders accurately, accommodate dietary needs or allergies, and relay details to the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages promptly with table side etiquette and appropriate pacing.
• Perform proactive table maintenance: refilling drinks, clearing plates, and checking in for total satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized dining environment and assist with setup, side work, and station restocking.
• Enter orders into the POS, process payments, and handle cash transactions responsibly; promote upsells.
