Job summary

Loews Arlington Hotel is seeking a professional cook to join our hotel dining team. You will prepare and plate high-quality meals for guests in a fast-paced, upscale environment, following recipes and portion controls while maintaining safety standards.

Ultimately, you will help ensure timely service and consistent quality across all shifts, supporting a culture of teamwork and hospitality in our renowned venue.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years cooking in upscale, high-volume hotel or restaurant, or culinary training.
• Thorough knowledge of Food Service Sanitation Standards.
• Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment and its use.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Set up and organize work area with necessary supplies and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and rotate food products to ensure freshness.
• Prepare and store raw ingredients properly.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Plate foods per presentation guidelines and monitor service timing.
• Maintain sanitation and report equipment issues promptly.
• Close work area and secure kitchen at shift end.
• Support Stewards and broader team as needed.
