Job summary

Residence Inn Washington, DC/Dupont Circle is seeking a Cook to plan, prep, and set up food production for all hotel outlets. You will ensure ingredients are fresh, follow recipes, and help create menu items while maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires weekend availability and offers an hourly rate of $22.00–$25.00, experience-based. Join a team that values guest experience and hospitality in the Dupont Circle area.

Qualifications

• Prior cooking experience required.
• Experience in menu planning and development.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards

Responsibilities

• Complete various production and preparation tasks.
• Ensure production equipment is working; report problems to supervisor.
• Refer guest problems or complaints to Executive Chef.
• Prepare and arrange food according to standardized recipes.
• Update knowledge of hotel recipes and presentation.
• Store and handle food properly following HACCP procedures; report safety hazards.
• Coordinate activities so the kitchen runs efficiently.
• Maintain high health standards in the work area and equipment.
• Work with the Food and Beverage Manager to create menu items.
