Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Denver Downtown is seeking an experienced Cook to join our kitchen team. You will plan and prepare a variety of restaurant and catered items, ensuring quality, consistency and appealing presentation for our guests.

You will monitor food costs, assist with inventory and ordering, and uphold sanitation and safety standards. Strong communication and teamwork across departments are essential; you may be required to work mornings, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous food handling or prep/line experience is required.
• Must be able to read, write, and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare various food items and meals for the restaurant and catered functions.
• Oversee food cost and portion control without sacrificing quality.
• Creatively accommodate special requests from guests.
• Ensure food deliveries are timely, accurate and meet presentation standards.
• Assist with quality, cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and kitchen.
• Assist with inventory, ordering and receiving of all food and beverage items.
• Maintain and enforce sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen.
