Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Denver Downtown is seeking a Cook to craft high-quality meals for guests and events, delivering consistent, great-tasting dishes in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

You will manage food prep, support inventory, and uphold sanitation and safety standards while collaborating with hotel teams to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous food handling or prep/line experience is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write, type and use basic technology.
• Ability to stand, move for the full shift and lift at least 25 pounds.
• Food Handler’s Permit required.
• Flexibility to work morning, evening, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare various food items and meals for the restaurant and catered functions.
• Oversee food cost and portion control without sacrificing quality.
• Creatively accommodate special requests from guests.
• Ensure food deliveries are timely, accurate and meet presentation standards.
• Assist with quality, cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and kitchen.
• Assist with inventory, ordering and receiving of all food and beverage items.
• Maintain and enforce sanitation and safety standards with anyone entering the kitchen area.
• Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
