Job summary

Scenic Property Group is seeking a Cook to prepare all food items for Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets in a hotel setting. You will adhere to standardized recipes, ensure sanitation and safety, and minimize waste while maximizing cost/production efficiency.

The role requires knowledge of hotel standards, the ability to work flexible hours, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Culinary experience required.

Responsibilities

• Have thorough knowledge of menus and the preparation required, according to hotel standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas.
• Complete necessary food and station preparation prior to opening to ensure guests are served promptly.
• Prepare and display buffet food items according to hotel standards.
• Proficiency in cooking techniques: charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, saute, braising, roasting and par-cooking.
• Follow all Health Department and Company regulations in regards to food and storage standards and safety.
