HHM Hotels is seeking a Chief Engineer in Bethesda, MD to lead maintenance and engineering, ensure guest comfort, and uphold sustainability standards across the hotel. You will oversee vendors, manage small projects, and supervise staff to meet brand expectations and safety codes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and/or trade school coursework in a related field is preferred.
• Previous supervisory engineer/maintenance experience is required.
• HVAC certification is required.
• Other certifications may be required based on local needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and engineering functions to support guest service and sustainability goals.
• Oversee bids, quotes, and contracts for 3rd party vendors.
• Manage small projects or Property Improvement Plans (PIPs) and report progress.
• Perform and supervise repairs including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facility tasks.
• Troubleshoot equipment and install/ program televisions as needed.
• Maintain PM records and life safety system testing 100% operational.
• Ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
• Maintain exterior and curb appeal following sustainability guidelines.
