Job summary

Evolution Hospitality's Balfour Miami Beach, a Registry Collection Hotel, is seeking a Chief Engineer to keep all systems operating smoothly and guests comfortable. You will lead maintenance, supervise the engineering team, and ensure safety compliance while controlling costs and uptime across the property.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in hotel engineering or a related field, supervisory experience, and relevant HVAC, electrical, or pool certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hotel/related experience with supervisory responsibility.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Current HVAC, pool, and electrical certifications; licensure where required.
• Licensed to operate/repair boilers and chillers per local laws.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance leadership for all rooms and public spaces to meet standards.
• Lead, train, and schedule engineering staff; inspire peak performance.
• Conduct fire safety inspections and drills to keep guests safe.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to ensure exceptional guest service.
