Job summary

1 Hotels South Beach is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the maintenance team and oversee all hotel facilities, including building systems, HVAC, and safety programs.

You will develop strategies to maximize financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor staff, manage budgets, and drive energy-efficient projects in collaboration with leadership. A Bachelor's degree and hospitality experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical school degree; 2+ years of engineering manager experience.
• Prior hospitality experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements related to hotel operations and chemical storage as per OSHA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance team and oversee the hotel and F&B facilities.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning for maintenance programs.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and building codes.
• Lead Fire Safety & Emergency Evacuation teams.
• Develop energy-management strategies and pursue energy-efficient projects.
• Coordinate performance evaluations and ongoing development of the Engineering team.
• Work with Director of Engineering and General Manager on planning and priorities.
