Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer/Facilities/Maintenance Manager for a growing hotel group in the Chicago area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in 4-star resort/hotel environments and will lead engineering operations, staffing, maintenance, and safety programs to ensure guest satisfaction.

You will manage daily engineering activities, supervise staff, and coordinate with contractors while upholding budgetary guidelines and quality standards.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years' experience as a Chief Engineer, Director of Maintenance, or Facilities Manager.
• Ability to understand and positively impact P&L statements, control costs, inventory control, and safety performance.
• Capable of effectively managing the Maintenance Team.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to work closely with all Hotel departments.
• Must possess or be willing to attain necessary certifications for facilities management.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily operations of the Engineering department.
• Staffing: interview, hire, and train; schedule within budget.
• Supervise staff and ongoing training programs.
• Manage staffing levels to meet guest needs and business volume.
• Maintain all resort buildings (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry).
• Develop cost reduction, work simplification, and method improvement programs.
• Prepare/evaluate designs and specs for Engineering projects (in-house and contractors).
• Manage regular engineering subcontractors and vendors.
• Supervise installations and construction assigned by the Director of Engineering & Property Development.
• Perform basic duties of General Maintenance, Electrician, Carpenter, and HVAC as needed.
