Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a Chief Engineer/Facilities/Maintenance Manager for a 4-star resort/hotel in the Chicago area. The role focuses on leading the Engineering department, ensuring safe, efficient operations and cost controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years as Chief Engineer, Director of Maintenance, or Facilities Manager.
• Ability to understand and positively impact P&L statements, control costs, inventory, and safety.
• Capable of effectively managing the Maintenance Team and collaborating with hotel departments.
• Willingness to attain necessary certifications for facilities management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Engineering department.
• Staffing and interviewing to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Train and supervise team through ongoing programs.
• Schedule staff by business volume and guest needs within budget.
• Maintain resort buildings and systems: electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry.
• Manage costs, vendor contracts, and subcontractors.
