Job summary

Summit Hospitality Group seeks a Chief Engineer for its Hotel Division to oversee maintenance of guest rooms, meeting spaces, public areas, and back‑of‑house areas. You will supervise engineers and techs, coordinate repairs to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen and laundry systems, and uphold Quality Assurance standards.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in maintenance or facilities, strong leadership, and the ability to train staff.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years maintenance or facility management experience.
• Computer literate with ability to use standard software.
• Experience repairing mechanical, electrical, kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Strong training, directing and vendor-management abilities.
• Ability to speak/write English clearly.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Availability for AM/PM, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest satisfaction in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Maintain HVAC, boilers, electrical, carpentry, drywalling, painting, plumbing, and landscaping.
• Perform preventative maintenance for hotel product quality standards.
• Assist in repairs on plumbing systems, toilets, fixtures, sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Troubleshoot IT and building systems and support safety procedures.
• Lead safety committee and train staff as needed.
• Assist in audits to keep properties up to QA standards.
• Coordinate with outside vendors & contractors.
